Where and when is One Night Swing?
Saturday, March 29th at The Birdcage, 25 Central Street, Windsor CT, right next to the train station in the center of Windsor. This venue is just a few minutes North of Hartford, CT and about 10 minutes south of the Massachusetts border. Workshops are 4pm to 8pm and social dancing is 8:30pm to 1:00am.
Is experience required for the workshops?
The workshops taught by our 5 All Star Pros are for those individuals who are familiar with West Coast Swing and have an understanding of basic 6 and 8 count patterns. We encourage brand new dancers to attend the Newcomer workshop.
Is the Newcomer workshop for me?
If you are brand new to West Coast Swing and/or are interested in learning more about it and trying out some basics, you are encouraged to attend the Newcomer West Coast Swing workshop!
Are private lessons available?
Yes! Each instructor has 3 lesson spots available before the workshops start. Click here for more info and to book your lesson!
Who can attend the social dancing?
Anyone who loves West Coast Swing or who is interested in learning more West Coast Swing is encouraged to attend the social dancing portion.

Will tickets be sold at the door?
WORKSHOPS: Online ticket purchase required, tickets will NOT be sold at the door. Purchase The Works ticket by Friday, March 28th to secure your workshop attendance.
SOCIAL DANCING: You may drop in and pay at the door. Tickets purchased at the door are $35 will NOT include a drink ticket. Save money by purchasing online!
What is included with my ticket?
The Works includes 4 workshops taught by Saya Suzaki, Roberto Corporan, Avery Isaacs, Renee Wasko and Chris Wasko plus 4.5 hours of social dancing, pizza dinner and snacks.
Brand new this time, we will have two different workshop options for each of the first three workshops! The final workshop will bring all five instructors and all attendees together for one awesome experience
New to the Scene includes one hour Newcomer workshop taught by Angelique Early plus 4.5 hours of social dancing and snacks.
Party Animal is 4.5 hours of social dancing and snacks.
*All online ticket purchases include a drink ticket.
How many workshops are there?
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in up to four different workshops (4pm, 4:50pm, 6:15pm and 7pm). Workshops, A, B and C will each have two options for different workshops taught by different instructors at the same time. The final workshop will be all instructors and everyone together.
When you check in at the event you will sign up for the workshop that you want to attend for workshop A, B and C. For more on the pros and the workshop names and options click here.
Will there be food and drink?
NOTE: This is NOT a BYOB event. No outside alcohol is permitted inside the venue. We also ask that you please refrain from bringing in any outside food or beverages other than water.
FOOD: Pizza will be provided after the second workshop for those attending the workshops (does not include newcomer workshop). Variety of complimentary snacks will be available during the workshops and social dancing.
DRINKS: There will be a cash bar with wine, beer, soda, water and a cocktail of the night available for purchase with cash or Venmo. Each online event ticket purchase includes one drink ticket good at the cash bar to be handed out at registration entry. Drop in ticket purchases the night of will not receive a drink ticket. Note that ID may be requested by the bartender.
What kind of music will be played?
Variety is the spice of life! We are excited to have different DJs throughout the night of social dancing who will each bring a different style/theme of music to dance to.
Will there only be West Coast Swing dancing?
This is a West Coast Swing dance experience so people will predominately be dancing that style of dance. Some songs do lend themselves to multiple styles of dance, therefore you and your dance partner are welcome to do other types of dance if you wish. Please be mindful of the other dancers if you are moving around the room and/or not dancing in a slot.
Where do we park?
There is are various free public parking areas in the center of Windsor. The CVS parking lot directly across the street is open for parking that evening as well as a large lot of a closed restaurant on Union Street.
Are refunds available?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of this limited ticketed event, refunds are not available.
If you purchase The Works and find that you are unable to attend the workshop, you may send someone in your place.
